Tips for Better Skip Tracing Results
Provide as much information as you possibly can. You are not
requesting an online database search. Please provide as much info for your
investigator to conduct a thorough search.
First Name - Enter legal name, (i.e. "Michael" instead of
"Mike", "David" instead of "Dave") However if your subject often uses a
nickname please mention that in Additional Details.
Middle Initial - If you know what it is, please provide it for
the investigator.
Last Name - Enter Last Name only. Correct spelling is very
important. If your subject is or was married or had a name change, provide
alternatives in Additional Details.
Address - Enter the last known street address. If you only know
the street name, that's fine. But enter any street you know subject lived on in
the past 10 - 15 years.
City - If you don't remember a previous street address, try to
provide the last known city. Any city you recall your subject living in within
the past 10 - 15 years will help.
State - If you don't remember a previous street address or
City, try to provide the last known State. Without a city or state if your
subjects name is common it may be difficult to narrow down the exact
individual. Any State you can recall your subject living in within the past 10
- 15 years will help.
Birth Date - If you don't know the exact DOB but know the year
or the month and year select whatever you know. If it's an approx date, please
mention that in Additional Details. Investigators can't search for minors,
subject's must be established adults.
SSN # - If you know the correct Social Security Number for your
subject, enter it here. If you still provide the name, the investigator will
conduct your search by SSN. If the name is not associated with the SSN provided
your report will be based on the SSN for the most exact match.
